2nd Annual Celebrity Serve February 24, 2009
The Second Annual Celebrity Serve for Wishes in Winston-Salem was a huge success! Because of the great support we received, it looks like we will reach our $15,000 goal. We had 15 restaurants, over 40 Celebrities, nearly 40 volunteers (including the Wake Forest Chi Omega Sorority) and in excess of 2,500 diners participating in the event.
There were parties going on all over town! Thanks to everyone who participated in any way. We could not have done it without YOU!!!

Restaurants: Traditionally, Tuesday is a slow night for restaurants. Our goal is to generate additional business for our participating restaurants and raise money for Make-A-Wish.
- Restaurants would donate at least 10% of the daily sales to the Celebrity Serve for Wishes event.
- Tips earned by the Celebrities/Personalities would be donated to Make-
A-Wish.
- Celebrities will Meet, Greet and Entertain customers, many of whom would be there especially to support the Celebrity participants.
- The Celebrity participants would do their best to recruit their fans, associates and friends as customers for the evening.
- Make-A-Wish would recruit Celebrities from the media & entertainment industries, business & government, sports personalities, other public figures, etc.
- If restaurants have Celebrities they would like to ask to participate, they are more than welcome to do so.
- Make-A-Wish will help promote the Celebrity Serve for Wishes event.
- We are also asking non-celebrities to “Host A Table” and invite friends, family, co-workers, etc. to join them for dinner at participating restaurants.
