Wish Granting
Assist with making the dreams of our wish children come true through creativitiy and imagination (both on the part of the wish child and you). You will visit the wish child and his/her family; always with another Wish Granting Volunteer. Your objective is to find out what the child's wish is; explain our paperwork; and assist with making the wish come true. Make-A-Wish volunteer experience and training is required.
Airport Greeters
Some wishes will involve travel by airplane. Often, it is a first-time experience not just for the wish child- but the whole family as well. If you volunteer as an Airport Greeter, it will be up to you to help aid in the process for their first-in-a-lifetime adventure. Anticipation, excitement, a little anxiety, and lots of energy are the hallmarks of this event. And it's even better when they return! The happy faces, the new adventures and experiences to share, and then there are all the photos!
Office Support
Your help around our busy office would be heartily welcomed. It always seems like there is always more to do then there are hours in the day to do complete it. Whether it is filing, answering the phone, or assisting with word processing and/or mailings, there is always plenty to do and we would love to meet and work with you "first hand".
Special Events/Fundraising
Participate in planning, organizing, and executing our fundraisers and special events. Perhaps you know someone who is interested in sponsoring an event or making an "in-kind" donation of materials or services. Maybe you have a special talent or know someone who does, and would be willing to help us out. The possibilities in this area are only limited by your imagination (and a little practicality)!
Kids for Wish Kids
Kids and young adults helping other kids experience a wish of a lifetime by fundraising, supporting, or enhancing wishes. Your help is needed in educating these groups about opportunities available or recruiting groups to raise money. For details visit our Kids For Wish Kids page.
